… 掘削方式が回転式（ロータリー・システム）の頭文字から採っている。ＯＲは長万部ロータリー、ＯＯＲは長万部温泉ロータリーの頭文字だろう。 参考：「長万部町史」、「北海道の地熱・温泉（Ａ）西南北海道中南部」(北海道立地下資源調査所 昭和51)
■泉質
* 高張性弱アルカリ高温泉（温泉法旧分類では強食塩泉と呼ぶ）
* 源泉温度 : 摂氏55℃
